Role Summary
The Senior QA Engineer will be responsible for QA planning, requirement analysis, manual and automation testing, API testing, performance testing, release quality, and continuous quality improvement.
The role also involves designing automation strategies, mentoring junior QA engineers, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and leveraging Generative AI and AI-assisted tools to improve QA efficiency and test coverage.
Key Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end QA activities across the Software Development Lifecycle.
- Analyse requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria to identify gaps and risks.
- Prepare Test Strategies, Test Plans, Test Scenarios, and Test Estimates.
- Perform Functional, Integration, System, Regression, Smoke, Sanity, and UAT testing.
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks.
- Develop UI and API automation using Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, or REST Assured.
- Improve automation coverage and integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
- Review automation code, test results, and QA deliverables.
- Perform Root Cause Analysis for critical and recurring defects.
- Support release readiness and provide quality recommendations.
- Mentor junior QA engineers and contribute to QA process improvements.
Performance Testing
Working knowledge or hands-on experience in:
- Load, Stress, Spike, and Soak Testing.
- JMeter or Grafana k6.
- Performance analysis and bottleneck identification.
- Performance reporting and optimisation recommendations.
AI & Generative AI Knowledge
Exposure to the following concepts will be valuable:
- Large Language Models (LLMs)
- Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)
- Embeddings and Vector Databases
- AI Agents
- Token Limits and Context Windows
- Model Hallucinations
- Prompt Engineering
- MCP (Model Context Protocol) fundamentals
- AI-assisted testing and development tools
Experience with GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or Cursor AI is an advantage.

What We’re Looking For
- 4–7 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance.
- Strong experience in both Manual and Automation Testing.
- Experience designing or maintaining automation frameworks.
- Good understanding of API and integration testing.
- Working knowledge of performance testing.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and defect investigation skills.
- Ability to review requirements and identify quality risks.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Willingness to learn and apply emerging AI technologies in QA.
