About The Role
We are looking for a highly passionate and detail-oriented Senior Quality Assurance Engineer with 4–7 years of experience in manual, automation, and AI-assisted testing methodologies.
The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in quality engineering practices across mobile applications, AI systems, conversational experiences, and smart connected devices. The candidate will work closely with AI engineers, robotics teams, product managers, designers, developers, and program managers to ensure the highest quality standards for next-generation AI-driven consumer products.
The role demands strong analytical thinking, ownership, exploratory testing capabilities, automation exposure, and hands-on experience leveraging AI tools to improve testing efficiency and product quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive test strategies, test plans, and test scenarios for mobile applications, AI-powered systems, conversational experiences, voice interactions, and robotics workflows.
- Perform functional, regression, exploratory, integration, system, UAT, compatibility, and end-to-end testing across mobile apps, APIs, AI modules, and smart devices.
- Validate conversational AI systems, voice commands, intent recognition, contextual understanding, and child-safe AI responses.
- Conduct adversarial and edge-case testing for AI systems to identify vulnerabilities, unsafe responses, hallucinations, prompt injection risks, and conversational failures.
- Work closely with engineering and product teams to identify root causes, improve product quality, and drive faster issue resolution.
- Design, maintain, and enhance manual and automation test suites for mobile apps, APIs, and backend systems.
- Utilize AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, GitHub Copilot, Gemini, or similar AI platforms to improve test case generation, exploratory testing, debugging, documentation, and automation productivity.
- Contribute to AI-assisted automation frameworks and improve QA efficiency through intelligent testing approaches.
- Validate analytics, logging, telemetry, Mixpanel/Firebase events, and production monitoring data.
- Simulate real-world customer environments and reproduce production issues for effective RCA (Root Cause Analysis).
- Participate actively in Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog grooming, retrospectives, and release readiness reviews.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of high-quality releases.
- Mentor junior QA engineers and contribute to improving QA processes, standards, and best practices.
- Drive quality ownership across releases and proactively identify product risks.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 4–7 years of experience in Quality Assurance and Quality Engineering.
- Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, defect lifecycle, and Agile methodologies.
- Hands-on experience in manual testing methodologies including functional, regression, exploratory, integration, UAT, compatibility, and system testing.
- Experience in API testing using tools such as Postman, Swagger, or similar platforms.
- Experience with UI/mobile automation tools such as Appium, Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or similar frameworks.
- Knowledge of at least one programming/scripting language such as Java, Python, or JavaScript.
- Experience with AI-assisted QA workflows and usage of AI tools like ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, Claude, Gemini, or equivalent tools for testing productivity and automation acceleration.
- Good understanding of Conversational AI, Generative AI systems, LLM-based applications, voice assistants, and chatbot testing methodologies.
- Experience testing voice-based systems, smart devices, IoT products, Alexa/Google Assistant integrations, or AI-enabled consumer products will be an added advantage.
- Understanding of prompt engineering concepts and AI response validation methodologies is preferred.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, version control systems, and defect management tools like Jira.
- Strong analytical, debugging, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced product environment with high ownership.
- Exposure to performance testing, security testing, and production monitoring is an added advantage.
- Experience in testing child-focused applications, gaming systems, robotics products, or conversational interfaces is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
- Exposure to Adversarial AI Testing or Red Team testing methodologies.
- Experience working on AI/ML-driven products or robotics platforms.
- Knowledge of cloud-based testing platforms and device farms.
- Understanding of telemetry analysis, production quality monitoring, and incident RCA.
- Certifications in QA, Agile, Scrum, or Automation Testing are a plus.
