We are looking for a QA Automation Engineer to own the quality, reliability, and performance of our web applications. This role bridges the gap between functional testing and automated validation. You will design comprehensive test scenarios, perform exploratory testing, and build automated test scripts for both UI and APIs to scale our testing efforts.

- Automation: Design, write, and maintain automated test scripts for web applications and APIs.
- API Testing and Validation: Perform exploratory, functional and programmatic API testing, capturing and validating request/response logs using automation frameworks or tools like Postman.
- Load Testing: Design and execute basic load and stress tests on APIs and web application endpoints to identify performance bottlenecks and evaluate system stability under traffic.
- Security Testing: Perform basic security testing of web applications and APIs to identify common vulnerabilities, including authentication and authorization issues, improper access controls, input validation vulnerabilities and sensitive data exposure.
- Reporting: Maintain structured test reports documenting execution status, automation coverage, and API trace logs.
- Defect Tracking & Debugging: Use browser developer tools and network proxies to isolate bugs, log detailed defects, and collaborate with developers to resolve them.
Required Skills:
- Testing fundamentals: Strong understanding of software testing fundamentals (test cases, design, regression testing)
- Automation Frameworks: Hands-on experience or strong familiarity with web automation tools (e.g. Selenium or Playwright)
- API Testing: Solid understanding of REST APIs, JSON, HTTP methods, and experience with Postman or automated API testing libraries (pytest + requests, axios/supertest)

Good to have:
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines such as GitHub Actions or Jenkins
