Role Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior QA Engineer to join our team, specializing in Automation testing and data validation. In this role, you will design and execute comprehensive test cases and scripts to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency across complex data pipelines. You’ll collaborate closely with developers, data analysts, and business stakeholders to understand technical and business requirements, and use tools like SQL/NOSQL, Azure, Jira, Confluence, TestRail You’ll manage test documentation and actively participate in Agile development cycles. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, hands-on experience with Reporting tools and familiarity with cloud technologies including Azure Event Hubs, DevOps pipelines, and GitHub. Proficiency in scripting languages like PowerShell, Python, or PySpark is a plus. This role requires a proactive mindset, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively to ensure the delivery of high-quality data solutions.
Qualifications
- 6+ years of hands-on experience with Selenium, Core Java along with TestNg, Cucumber framework
- 5+ years experience in Automation Testing
- 5+ years experience working with API Test Automation using Rest Assured and testing tools such as JIRA, TestRail
- Hands-on knowledge for CI/CD, Kubernetes, Azure (Event Hubs), SQL/NOSQL, GITHUB
- Proficient experience in QA methodologies including unit testing, test planning, and release cycles Strong understanding of software development life cycles, especially Waterfall or Agile Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Eager to learn and grow within a collaborative engineering environment
- Guide and mentor QA Engineers in the team
Responsibilities
- Developing and executing Automation and Manual test scripts
- Tracking and logging defects during execution.
- Generating reports such as defect analysis report, project status report, etc.
- Provide proactive advice and feedback throughout the software testing lifecycle for prevention and early correction of quality problem.
- Work with the Engineering Department’s processes and tools ensuring best practices are adhered to on every project
- Collaborate with developers to define deliverables and meet project timelines Design, plan, and execute test cases, scenarios, and scripts for ETL validation and regression testing.
- Database concepts – RDBMS/SQL/NOSQL Verify and validate data accuracy, completeness, and consistency using tools and SQL queries.
- Create and maintain test cases, scripts, and documentation in test management tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and TestRail.
- Follow engineering best practices and contribute to process improvements
- Support continuous integration and deployment workflows
- Utilize performance and debugging tools to monitor and optimize applications
