Key Responsibilities
● Perform functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing for Web and Mobile applications.
● Design, develop, and maintain automation test scripts/frameworks.
● Execute API testing and validate request/response workflows.
● Identify, log, track, and verify defects using Jira.
● Participate in requirement analysis, sprint planning, and release activities.
● Collaborate with Developers, Product Managers, and other stakeholders to ensure product quality.
● Analyze test results, troubleshoot issues, and provide detailed defect reports.
● Contribute towards improving QA processes, test coverage, and overall product quality.
● Support production issue analysis and root cause validation when required.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Mandatory Skills
1. Web & Mobile Application Testing
● Strong hands-on experience in testing Web and Mobile applications.
● Good understanding of SDLC and STLC processes.
● Experience in functional, regression, smoke, sanity, and exploratory testing.
2. Automation Testing
● Hands-on experience in Automation Testing using any scripting/programming language.
● Java and Python are preferred.
● Experience in developing and maintaining automation frameworks is preferred.
3. API Testing
● Strong understanding of REST APIs.
● Experience in API validation, request/response verification, and status code validations.
● Familiarity with tools like Postman, Rest Assured, or equivalent.
4. Jira Usage
● Good exposure to Jira for:
○ Bug reporting
○ Defect tracking
○ Sprint/Test management collaboration
5. Problem Solving
● Strong analytical and debugging skills.
● Ability to identify edge cases and troubleshoot complex issues effectively.
Good to Have Skills
● Experience with any CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, etc.
● Experience in using Mobile Cloud platforms such as Browser Stack, Sauce Labs, or similar tools.
● Exposure to Performance and Load Testing tools/processes.
● Basic understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
