Simpalm is hiring a Senior QA Lead for one of our direct clients in the US. This role is ideal for a seasoned QA professional who can own quality strategy, lead automation initiatives, and drive a quality-first culture across the SDLC.
What You’ll Do:
- Define and drive QA strategy, standards, and best practices
- Lead, mentor, and scale a high-performing QA team
- Champion a quality-first culture across teams
- Track and improve KPIs like defect leakage, coverage, and test stability
- Drive continuous improvement via RCA and retrospectives
- Design and execute robust test plans & exploratory testing
- Perform risk-based testing across functional, regression, and UAT phases
- Ensure end-to-end feature validation, including edge and negative scenarios
- Lead defect triage and resolution with engineering teams
- Architect scalable UI, API, and performance automation frameworks
- Promote an automation-first mindset with measurable coverage goals
- Integrate test suites into CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions)
- Ensure clean, maintainable automation code through reviews and reusable libraries
- Evaluate and implement modern testing tools and frameworks
- Leverage AI-powered tools (Testim, Mabl, etc.) for faster test creation and maintenance
- Use LLMs and prompt engineering for test generation and log analysis
- Validate AI/ML systems for accuracy, bias, and edge cases
- Drive adoption of next-gen AI testing practices
Requirements:
- 8+ years in QA, with 3+ years in leadership roles
- Strong expertise in manual + automation testing
- Hands-on with tools like Selenium, Playwright, Rest Assured
- Proficiency in Java, Python, or JavaScript/TypeScript
- Experience with CI/CD integration
- Familiarity with AI-assisted testing tools
- Solid understanding of Agile/Scrum environments
- Strong communication skills with a business-first mindset
Nice to have skills:
- Experience with AI/ML product testing
- Performance testing tools (k6, JMeter, Gatling)
- Knowledge of OWASP Top 10 security testing
- Background in fintech
