Currently, we are partnering with Good Sam to drive a critical Guidewire Implementation project, transforming their marketing technology stack and customer lifecycle communications.

Role Overview:

We are seeking a meticulous and highly technical Senior QA Engineer (Freelancer) with 5+ years of experience to lead the quality assurance and test automation efforts for a complex Guidewire to Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) integration.

In this role, you will be responsible for defining and executing both automated and manual test strategies to ensure data integrity, system connectivity, and the flawless execution of multi-channel marketing journeys. You will work closely with the SFMC Tech Lead, developers, and cross-functional teams to guarantee a high-quality launch.

Key Responsibilities:

• Automated Integration Testing: Build, maintain, and execute automated test suites to validate integration points, ensuring data flows correctly from Guidewire Cloud into SFMC and Ad-platforms.
• Payload & Trigger Validation: Automate the validation of data triggers and payloads populating SFMC via the service layer for key lifecycle events (e.g., Quote Follow Ups, Renewals, Payment Failures).
• Multi-Channel Journey QA: Test complex multi-day communication streams across Email, SMS, and Direct Mail. Specifically, you will validate the new event-driven API approach for the Direct Mail fulfillment process.
• Campaign & Attribution Tracking: Ensure Campaign IDs (via Claravine) are accurately captured, stored, and passed across the web/mobile app, phone systems, Guidewire, and SFMC for accurate reporting reconciliation.
• Logic & Promotion Validation: Test complex business logic, including validation rules for unique promotional offers based on Line of Business, channel, customer segment, and state-specific eligibility. Validate ad suppression data pipelines using unique identifiers like GCLID and FBCLID.
• Monitoring Setup & Verification: Validate the creation of automated monitoring checks (such as Healthcheck.io pings) to ensure ongoing data connectivity and system health post-launch.

Requirements:

• Experience: 5+ years of experience as a QA Engineer with a strong focus on test automation, CRM, Marketing Automation (SFMC preferred), and complex system integrations.
• Test Automation Expertise: Proficiency in building automation frameworks and using tools like Postman (with Newman for CI/CD), REST Assured, or SoapUI for robust API testing. Experience with UI automation tools (e.g., Playwright) is a strong plus.
• API & Integration Testing: Deep expertise in automating tests for REST APIs, webhooks, and data payloads (JSON/XML) between core administrative systems (like Guidewire) and marketing platforms.
• Data Validation Skills: Strong SQL skills and experience validating data flows into CDPs (e.g., Segment) and Data Warehouses (e.g., Snowflake) is a plus.
• Marketing Tech QA: Proven experience testing multi-channel customer journeys, dynamic content logic, and decision splits within enterprise marketing automation platforms.
• Analytical Rigor: Ability to understand complex business requirements and translate them into comprehensive test cases, automated test scripts, and traceability matrices.
• Communication: Exceptional written and verbal English skills to effectively log defects, report testing status to stakeholders, and collaborate seamlessly with developers and tech leads.
• Freelance/Contract Ready: Ability to work independently, manage testing timelines, and deliver high-quality results in a remote, contract-based environment.
