Responsibilities
- Test Planning & Strategy:
- Develop and maintain comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on business and technical requirements.
- Test Execution:
- Execute manual and automated test cases across web, mobile, and API platforms to ensure functionality, performance, and security.
- Automation:
- Design, build, and maintain automated test frameworks using tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or Appium.
- Defect Management:
- Identify, document, and track defects; collaborate closely with developers to ensure timely resolution.
- Continuous Integration & Delivery:
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
- Mentorship:
- Guide and support junior QA team members in test design, automation best practices, and process improvements.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with development, product, and DevOps teams to ensure quality standards are met across all releases.
- Reporting:
- Provide clear and detailed testing metrics, test summary reports, and quality indicators to stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of hands-on QA experience (manual + automation).
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies (Agile, DevOps, Shift-Left).
- Experience with tools such as JIRA, TestRail, Postman, Jenkins, Git, etc.
- Proficiency in one or more programming/scripting languages (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
