About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Senior QA Automation Engineer with strong expertise in Playwright and TypeScript/JavaScript to join our growing Quality Engineering team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable automation frameworks, driving test automation strategy, and ensuring high-quality software delivery across complex enterprise applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain robust test automation frameworks using Playwright and TypeScript/JavaScript.
- Create and execute automated test scripts for functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
- Define automation strategies and best practices across projects.
- Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Developers, Architects, and QA teams throughout the SDLC.
- Review requirements and technical specifications to ensure testability and quality coverage.
- Identify, document, and track defects through resolution.
- Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing.
- Mentor junior QA engineers and contribute to automation framework enhancements.
Required Skills
- 8–12 years of experience in Software Testing and QA Automation.
- Strong hands-on experience with Playwright Automation Framework.
- Strong programming expertise in TypeScript and/or JavaScript.
- Experience building and maintaining automation frameworks from scratch.
- Strong understanding of web technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and REST APIs.
- Experience in API testing using tools such as Postman or similar.
- Hands-on experience with Git and version control systems.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
- Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, test design techniques, and defect lifecycle.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
