Job Description:
We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer (Python) with 3+ years of experience in designing scalable backend systems, APIs, and data pipelines. The ideal candidate should have strong fundamentals in backend architecture, database design, and production-ready engineering practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop scalable backend services, APIs, and data pipelines using Python.
- Build reliable and high-performance systems with a focus on scalability, caching, and asynchronous processing.
- Design and implement efficient database schemas and data models using SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following best engineering practices.
- Monitor systems, debug production issues, and ensure high reliability and performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver features end-to-end.
- Take ownership of systems and features, continuously improving code quality and team processes.
Required Skills:
- 3+ years of backend development experience with Python.
- Strong experience in designing APIs, backend services, and data pipelines.
- Solid understanding of database design and data modeling (SQL + NoSQL).
- Experience with system design concepts such as scalability, caching, reliability, and async processing.
- Strong debugging skills and experience handling production systems (logging, monitoring, incident handling).
- Proven ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.
- Strong ownership mindset with the ability to drive features from design to production.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with Django / FastAPI
- Hands-on experience with MongoDB or PostgreSQL.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS / GCP).
- Experience with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and modern deployment workflows.
