About the Role
This role owns the core data engineering layer behind PriceEasy’s platform. The focus is on building scalable Python-based systems, cloud architectures, and data pipelines that support analytics, ETL, and application workflows. You will work on large datasets, improve reliability and performance, and help ensure data is trustworthy across systems. The role also calls for strong technical leadership, including mentoring others and guiding design decisions that keep the platform robust as the business scales. Success means turning complex data requirements into clean, maintainable solutions that directly support business intelligence and operational decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and build cloud-based data engineering architectures that support analytics and application workflows at scale. Ensure the systems are resilient, maintainable, and aligned to business needs.
- Develop, optimize, and maintain large-scale data pipelines for efficient processing of high-volume datasets. Focus on throughput, reliability, and long-term operability.
- Write clean, efficient, and scalable Python code for ETL, data processing, and application development. Use strong engineering discipline to keep solutions simple, stable, and reusable.
- Protect data quality, consistency, and security across systems and platforms. Build controls and practices that reduce risk and keep downstream outputs dependable.
- Partner with stakeholders to translate business and data requirements into practical technical solutions. Make sure the delivered systems solve real operational problems.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve performance, uptime, and responsiveness across the data stack. Own system health and resolve issues before they affect business outcomes.
- Mentor team members and share best practices in architecture and data engineering. Raise the technical standard of the team through guidance, review, and support.
Essential Skills & Technologies
- Strong Python engineering skills with demonstrated experience building scalable data solutions. Write production-ready code that performs well and is easy to maintain.
- Deep experience with Snowflake for data warehousing and analytics. Use it effectively to support modern, queryable, business-ready data layers.
- Strong command of SQL and working knowledge of NoSQL database technologies. Choose the right storage pattern for the problem and maintain data integrity.
- Solid cloud architecture knowledge for building modern data systems. Understand how to design systems that scale without sacrificing reliability or clarity.
- Proven ability to work with ETL, big data processing, and large-scale data pipelines. Keep data movement efficient, accurate, and resilient.
