You will work closely with Project Managers, ecologists, and multi‑disciplinary teams to ensure the smooth delivery of ecological inputs to major infrastructure, development, and environmental enhancement projects.
This position is ideal for someone with solid project coordination experience who is ready to take on greater responsibility, operate with autonomy, and support the delivery of complex ecological work packages within a global consultancy environment.
Responsibilities

- Coordinate day‑to‑day activities for ecology teams, including survey scheduling, resource planning, and deliverable tracking.
- Maintain project schedules, ecological survey calendars, and seasonal constraints trackers (e.g., breeding bird windows, bat survey seasons).
- Monitor progress, identify risks (e.g., weather delays, access issues, seasonal constraints), and escalate concerns appropriately.
- Assist in preparing and reviewing project management plans, ecological delivery plans, cost estimates, and resource forecasts.
- Ensure ecological deliverables (e.g., survey reports, impact assessments, mitigation plans) are produced on time and meet quality standards.
Commercial & Financial Support
- Support bid preparation by gathering ecological inputs, preparing cost breakdowns, and coordinating with technical leads.
- Track budgets, monitor working capital, and assist with change management processes.
- Maintain financial trackers and support monthly reporting cycles for ecology work packages.
Documentation & Reporting
- Produce high‑quality project documentation including:
- Monthly progress reports
- Meeting minutes
- Action and decision logs
- Ecological risk and issue registers
- Stakeholder and landowner engagement logs
- Ensure documentation is accurate, consistent, and aligned with internal and client standards.
Information Management
- Manage ecological project information using Common Data Environments (CDEs) such as SharePoint and ProjectWise.
- Maintain version control and ensure compliance with quality procedures.
- Support the organisation of ecological survey data, GIS files, and field records.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Facilitate communication between GCC teams and UK/Ireland ecology teams.
- Coordinate with landowners, subcontractors, and survey suppliers under guidance from senior staff.
- Support client-facing activities where appropriate, including preparation of presentations and status updates.
Quality, Health & Safety
- Promote strong health, safety, and environmental practices, particularly for field survey activities.
- Support continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance ecological project processes, tools, and templates.

- Experience working within large, multi‑disciplinary, or geographically dispersed teams.
Core Competencies
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and competing priorities.
- Confident in gathering information, coordinating stakeholders, and driving progress.
