You’ll work alongside a diverse group of 200 multi-lingual consultants and sector specialists, with a deep specialism in Asian markets, market expansion strategy and cross-border business development. Across 35+ years, Intralink has helped more than 2,000 tech scaleups, SMEs, multinationals and government agencies across Europe, North America and Asia, securing over $20 billion in revenues and inward investment for our clients.


We are growing our team in India and are looking for a dynamic, multilingual Senior Project Manager to lead delivery of innovation and business development projects for Japanese and other Asian corporates in India. So, if you are up for the challenge, read on and apply.


What you’ll be doing


The role involves executing hands-on cross-border innovation and business development initiatives in India and originating new client relationships with international corporates focused on India, and includes the following responsibilities:

  • Act as the on-the-ground extension of overseas clients’ business development and innovation teams in India and develop as well as implement effective market entry and growth strategies
  • Identify, contact and meet potential Indian partners, customers, investors and innovation ecosystem players (e.g. scale-ups, universities, accelerators) through outreach, meetings, conferences and networking events
  • Conduct market research on India-focused opportunities (market size, trends, competitive landscape, regulations, ecosystem dynamics) and support technology scouting across sectors
  • Manage the entire business development process on behalf of clients, engaging with Indian technology companies and industry experts to understand their technologies, commercial models and potential value to clients
  • Provide interpretation and liaison support between clients and Indian organisations, ensuring smooth communication and alignment on technical, commercial and strategic topics.
  • Provide clients with key progress indicators in the form of meeting notes, reports (in Japanese and in English) and regular update calls
  • Support visit arrangements for clients in your territory, including scheduling, meeting coordination, logistics, and meeting support
  • Investigate, promote and sell Intralink’s services to prospective clients – particularly Japanese, Korean and other international corporates – in consultation with senior colleagues
  • Identify and build relationships with prospective clients by engaging decision-makers, understanding their objectives in India, and support the MD of India, in preparing proposals and presenting tailored Intralink solutions
  • Prepare and manage relevant sales and marketing collateral, maintain accurate, up-to-date records of all market contacts and opportunities in Intralink’s CRM system and actively manage your sales pipeline via the same system
  • Travel across India as required to attend trade shows, conferences, and other events for the purposes of project delivery, networking and securing opportunities with prospective clients


What you’ll need

  • A genuine interest in technology, innovation and international business, and motivation to work at the intersection of India and East Asia (particularly, Japan)
  • Native proficiency in English and Japanese, with excellent spoken and written skills to understand nuanced corporate requirements and communicate complex ideas with Japanese stakeholders
  • 10+ years’ experience in strategy consulting, corporate development / innovation, new business creation or venture investing in India; experience within Japanese or Asian corporates is a strong plus
  • A good understanding of relevant technology or industry domains (e.g. AI, IT & software, industrials, cleantech & renewables, automotive & mobility, aerospace & defense, electronics & semiconductors), with the ability to quickly grasp new technical and commercial concepts
  • A university degree in business, management, international relations, engineering, or a related technical / innovation field; additional qualifications in business or management are a plus
  • MBA or technology-related Master’s degree from a reputed institution is preferred
  • Deep networks with Japanese or Asian corporates / investors as well as strong relationship-building skills and confidence in engaging senior executives in large corporates as well as founders and senior leaders in start-ups and scaleups
  • High-level proficiency in synthesising diverse information sources to effectively and concisely communicate complex ideas in written, verbal and visual formats
  • The ability to work independently while being part of a team
  • Excellent project and time management skills to deliver results and meet deadlines
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Co-Pilot) and Salesforce
