Role Overview
The Senior Project Manager is responsible for leading the successful delivery of complex technology and software projects from initiation through closure. This role ensures projects are delivered on time, within scope, budget, and quality expectations while effectively managing stakeholders, risks, and cross-functional teams.
The role requires strong leadership, delivery discipline, and the ability to operate in dynamic, fast-paced environments using Agile, hybrid, or traditional delivery models.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end delivery of software and technology projects across multiple teams and stakeholders
- Define project scope, objectives, timelines, budgets, and success criteria in alignment with business goals
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and delivery roadmaps
- Drive project execution using Agile (Scrum/Kanban), hybrid, or Waterfall methodologies as appropriate
- Identify, assess, and proactively manage project risks, dependencies, and issues
- Coordinate closely with Product, Engineering, QA, Architecture, and Operations teams
- Ensure compliance with quality standards, security requirements, and organizational governance
- Manage resource allocation, capacity planning, and vendor or third-party dependencies
- Facilitate key project ceremonies including planning sessions, reviews, retrospectives, and steering meetings
- Provide clear, timely status updates and reporting to senior management and clients
- Manage change requests and scope adjustments while controlling impact on timelines and cost
- Drive continuous improvement in delivery processes, tools, and best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Business Management, or a related field
- 7+ years of experience in software or technology project management
- Proven track record of delivering complex, multi-team technology projects
- Strong knowledge of Agile, Scrum, Kanban, and hybrid delivery models
- Experience managing distributed and cross-functional teams
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills
- Strong analytical, planning, and problem-solving abilities
- PMP, PRINCE2, SAFe, or Agile certifications
