WSC Events plans and executes weddings and corporate events across Mumbai — from intimate ceremonies to large-scale multi-day weddings and corporate exhibitions for brands including the Tata Group. We're growing our wedding vertical and looking for a senior operator who can own that side end-to-end.
About the Role
This is not a support or coordinator-level position. We're hiring someone who can independently lead a wedding from the first client meeting to final execution — owning the client relationship, the vendor ecosystem, the budget, and the on-ground delivery, largely without oversight. You'll be the person a client trusts with their wedding, and the person our vendors take direction from on event day.
What You'll Do
• Lead client relationships from first consultation through post-event closure — understand what clients want, including what they haven't articulated yet
• Sell and shape the vision for each wedding, including pushing back on client instincts when needed to protect the outcome
• Plan and manage full wedding budgets, vendor contracts, and timelines
• Coordinate all vendors (décor, catering, venue, entertainment, logistics) and hold them accountable to plan
• Run on-ground execution across multi-day wedding functions — solving problems in real time without escalating every issue.
• Anticipate failure points before event day (vendor delays, weather, guest logistics) and build contingencies in advance
• Manage and direct junior team members and on-ground staff during events
What We're Looking For
• 1+ years in wedding or event planning, with experience independently leading weddings — not just assisting
• Strong client-facing and sales instincts — comfortable pitching ideas and closing bookings, not just executing what's handed to you
• Calm, decisive under real-time pressure
• Strong vendor network in the Mumbai wedding ecosystem preferred
• Willingness to travel and work non-standard hours around event dates (weekends, wedding season peaks)
• Bachelor's degree preferred, not required — track record matters more
