The evolution of Vymo as a product can be broadly divided into three phases
- Lead and Activity Management: We provided a mobile-first lead and activity management
tool that enabled large enterprises with distributed field sales teams to digitize their sales
processes and get real time visibility into their team’s productivity.
- Sales Engagement Platform: We built capabilities like nudges, goals, playbooks,
performance dashboards etc that enabled large financial institutions to improve their business
outcomes(faster time to convert, higher sales, increased productivity etc).
- Distribution Management Platform: We are currently in this phase. With a significant
increase in the number of apps an average seller uses to perform their day-to-day business
activities,financial institutions are looking to consolidate their tech stack. In addition, werealize
that we have an opportunity to become an insurance “core system” by owning the end-to end
advisor life cycle - recruitment, onboarding, training, selling, engagement and performance
management.
About the Role
As a Senior Technical Project Manager at Vymo, you will lead our most complex, high-value implementations for global financial institutions. You will be the strategic lead for client onboarding, ensuring that Vymo’s AI-powered platform is delivered with high quality, on time, and aligned with the intricate requirements of the BFSI (Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance) sector.
Key Responsibilities
1. Enterprise Client Onboarding & Delivery
- End-to-End Ownership: Lead the complete lifecycle of onboarding for Tier-1 global accounts (Discovery $\rightarrow$ Planning $\rightarrow$ Delivery $\rightarrow$ Go-live).
- Strategic Face of Vymo: Act as the primary point of contact for senior business and IT stakeholders at the client organization, ensuring a predictable and high-quality delivery experience.
- Complex Account Management: Navigate the unique challenges of large-scale enterprise accounts, managing multiple workstreams and high-level project roadmaps.
2. Technical Delivery Ownership (BFSI Context)
- Technical Discovery: Lead discovery sessions to surface integration points, data flows, and non-functional requirements early in the project.
- Integration Governance: Partner with Engineering and Product teams to plan deliveries with a deep understanding of system constraints, APIs, middleware, and third-party integrations.
- Risk & Dependency Management: Anticipate and mitigate technical risks across Dev, QA, UAT, and Production environments, specifically within regulated BFSI infrastructures.
3. Agile Execution & Program Governance
- Agile Leadership: Plan and execute delivery using Agile/Scrum, ensuring sprint goals are strictly aligned with customer milestones and business outcomes.
- Scope & Change Control: Own the delivery governance — managing scope, timelines, and change requests. You will assess the impact of change requests on effort, risk, and regression.
- Engineering Standards: Ensure all deliveries adhere to engineering standards, security protocols, and quality benchmarks required by global banks and insurers.
4. Release, Go-Live & Post-Launch
- Launch Readiness: Drive the go-live readiness process, including code freeze coordination, deployment checklists, and formal sign-offs.
- Production Stability: Coordinate production deployments and "Hypercare" with Engineering, QA, and Support teams. Lead incident triage and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for any post-launch issues.
5. Leadership & Process Excellence
- Mentorship: Guide and mentor Junior Project Managers on delivery excellence, customer management, and execution tactics.
- Continuous Improvement: Contribute to Vymo’s delivery "Playbook," refining best practices and scalable frameworks for global deployments.
Requirements (The "Must-Haves")
- Experience: 8–10 years of experience in Technical Project Management, with at least 5+ years in a B2B SaaS Product company.
- Industry Domain: Significant experience managing product implementations within the BFSI (Banking/Insurance) sector. You understand the "language" of financial institutions.
- Global Delivery: Proven track record of managing implementations for US-based clients while collaborating with India-based Engineering/Product teams.
- Agile Mastery: Expert working knowledge of Agile methodology and JIRA (Certifications like PMP or CSM are a major advantage).
- Technical Proficiency: Hands-on ability to understand data flows and integration aspects (APIs, Middleware) from a delivery and operational lens.
- Soft Skills: Excellent customer communication (written and verbal) and a "solve the issue" attitude. High sense of ownership and customer obsession.
