Role Description The Senior Project Manager will lead end-to-end delivery of Government real estate projects in a full-time, on-site capacity. Responsibilities include planning project scope and timelines, managing budgets, coordinating with clients, contractors, and suppliers, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. The role involves overseeing expediting activities, monitoring logistics and material flow, supervising inspections, and mitigating risks to keep projects on schedule and within budget. The Senior Project Manager will also guide project teams, prepare reports for senior leadership, and implement best practices in project management to drive consistent, high-quality outcomes.
Qualifications
- Strong project management skills, including Project Management experience and the ability to oversee complex construction timelines and deliverables.
- Experience in expediting functions, such as working as an Expeditor and handling Expediting activities to ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials.
- Knowledge of Inspection processes, including coordinating quality checks, site inspections, and compliance with building codes and safety standards.
- Logistics Management capabilities, including planning material movement, managing vendor relationships, and optimising supply chain activities for construction projects.
- Proven experience in construction or real estate project delivery, ideally in residential or commercial developments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field; advanced certifications in project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) are an advantage.
- Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and external partners.
- Proficiency in project management software and MS Office, with the ability to prepare clear progress reports and documentation.
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, negotiate with vendors, and resolve issues proactively on-site.
