Role Description The Senior Project Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in New Delhi, responsible for leading and coordinating engineering activities across construction and fabrication projects. This role oversees project planning, technical design reviews, and execution, ensuring that structural, electrical, and mechanical aspects meet safety, quality, and regulatory requirements. The Senior Project Engineer collaborates with cross-functional teams, manages contractors and vendors, and monitors progress against timelines, budgets, and specifications. Daily responsibilities include preparing and reviewing drawings and documentation, resolving technical issues on-site, conducting risk assessments, and supporting adherence to Kaizen, ISO, and OHSAS standards. The position also involves mentoring junior engineers, providing clear communication to stakeholders, and contributing to continuous improvement of project processes.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Project Engineering and Project Management skills to oversee complex construction and fabrication initiatives.
- Candidates should possess solid Project Planning capabilities, including scheduling, resource allocation, and risk management.
- Candidates should possess effective Communication skills to collaborate with internal teams, external partners, and site personnel.
- Candidates should possess a sound foundation in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline relevant to steel structures and industrial projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or related field); a master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., PMP) are an advantage.
- Proven experience in large-scale infrastructure, steel fabrication, or industrial construction projects, preferably in bridges, railways, or high-rise structures.
- Familiarity with ISO standards, OHSAS practices, and applicable building and safety codes; experience with CNC, robotic welding, or advanced fabrication technologies is beneficial.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to make data-driven decisions and support continuous improvement initiatives.
