Senior Project Accountant, Fractional Controller, Accounting Manager
Location: Onsite, HSR Layout, Bengaluru
Work timings: 2 pm- 11 pm
Contract to Full-time Transition
Role Overview:
Acts as the investigative engine of the clean-up project. This individual takes the discrepancies identified by the clerical tier, investigates the root causes within the support files, and prepares the correcting journal entries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Migrate old transactions into the new layout, investigating and correcting commissions and firm remits.
- Adjust remit invoices and contingency cost invoices for discrepancies, ensuring a perfect tie-out.
- Review Firm entries against TYM (This Year/Month) and post correcting journal entries.
- Investigate unmatched bank feed transactions and trace cash discrepancies.
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations for the year and tie out clearing accounts.
- Prepare adjusting entries and escalate only the most complex, systemic issues to the Controller level.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 4–7 years of accounting experience. Strong background in reconciliations, discrepancy investigation, and full-cycle accounting.
- Familiarity with legal or professional services billing is highly preferred.
