Key Responsibilities:
A. Programme Planning and Implementation
Design and implement agriculture-focused programmes aligned with CUTS’s mission, including; Sustainable agriculture practices, Climate-resilient farming, FPO strengthening and market linkages, Agri-value chain development, Business development, Fisheries, Renewable energy in Agri sector and other relevant programmatic areas.
- Develop annual and multi-year project plans, including logical frameworks and results-based monitoring systems, Prepare detailed budgets and financial plans for agriculture projects.
- Lead planning and execution of Farmer training and capacity-building programmes, Mobilisation campaigns, Exposure visits, Marketing events and National and international conferences on agriculture and rural development.
- Integrate technology and innovation (AI, digital advisory tools, etc.) in agriculture programmes.
Ensure compliance with donor guidelines and organisational policies.
B. Programme Monitoring
- Develop and implement Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) frameworks
- Track project progress against indicators and milestones and timeline.
- Prepare high-quality documentation, Progress reports Donor reports Case studies and policy briefs, invoice with supporting documents and communication materials related to the project.
- Ensure effective utilisation of project budgets and monitor expenditures, financial reporting in coordination with finance team.
- Maintain accurate programme documentation and records
- Mentor members of programme team in programme monitoring
Qualifications and Experience
- Master’s degree in: Agriculture Sciences / Agribusiness / Rural Development / Social Work / MBA/or Equivalent.
- Ph. D. in the relevant stream will be highly preferred.
- 5–7 years (minimum) experience in programme management in agriculture or rural development.
- Experience working with different networkers, FPOs, Fisheries collectives, farmer collectives, or agri-value chains Donor-funded projects.
