Role Description The Senior Program Consultant is a full-time, on-site role based in Noida. This role involves guiding prospective students through the selection of appropriate online and distance degree programs, from initial inquiry to enrollment. The consultant will conduct detailed needs assessments, explain program structures, fees, eligibility, and university credentials, and help students compare options aligned with their career objectives. Day-to-day responsibilities include student counseling via in-person meetings and calls, maintaining accurate records of interactions, collaborating with internal teams to improve counseling processes, and ensuring that all guidance remains transparent and compliant with regulatory standards. The Senior Program Consultant will also contribute to developing counseling frameworks, mentoring junior counselors, and sharing insights on student trends to support continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Strong student counseling and advisory skills, including the ability to assess educational goals and recommend suitable programs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex information clearly and build trust with diverse learners.
- Solid understanding of online and distance education, UGC and NAAC approvals, and the Indian higher education landscape.
- Experience in education consulting, admissions counseling, or academic advising, preferably at a senior or lead level.
- Proficiency in basic office productivity tools (e.g., spreadsheets, presentations, CRM or student management systems).
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple student cases simultaneously.
- Ability to work ethically with a focus on transparency, long-term student outcomes, and non-pressurizing guidance.
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline; a master’s degree in education, management, psychology, or related field is an advantage.
- Fluency in English and Hindi; additional regional languages are a plus.
- Prior experience working in Noida or similar metropolitan education or counseling environments is beneficial.
