About The Role
We are seeking a Senior Product Manager to design and lead the
Brand Portal— India's most advanced partner platform for beauty brands and partners seeking to scale on Purplle. This is the definitive experience that empowers brands to own their growth, manage their catalog with precision, and access real-time intelligence about their performance and opportunities.
Your mandate is to build the best-in-market partner experience — a platform that is so intuitive, so powerful, and so valuable that brands choose Purplle not just for access to consumers, but for the operational excellence we provide. You'll own a multi-layered product spanning operational workflows (catalog, pricing, supply chain), financial transparency (revenue insights, reconciliation), and proactive intelligence (opportunities, recommendations, performance signals).
This is a strategic role that directly impacts brand success, loyalty, and lifetime value on the platform. You will obsess over partner experience while maintaining operational rigor, working across product, engineering, design, category operations, and partner success teams to build something brands genuinely love using.
Key Responsibilities
- Product Vision & Strategy
- Define the multi-year roadmap for the Brand Portal, prioritizing capabilities that move from operational excellence to insights and growth intelligence.
- Establish north star metrics: brand adoption, time-to-live (TTL) for new product listings, operational efficiency gains, and partner satisfaction (NPS).
- Conduct ongoing brand research and feedback loops — understand pain points, unblock bottlenecks, and identify opportunities for category-defining feature delivery.
- Build the business case for each phase of the platform, quantifying impact on brand sales, catalog quality, and overall partner ecosystem health.
- Product Definition & Execution
- Operational excellence tools: Lead PRD definition for catalog management (new product listing, product edits, bulk operations), pricing optimization (dynamic pricing, offer activation, scheduling), and supply chain visibility (order tracking, warehouse management, real-time inventory).
- Financial transparency & insights: Design and ship brand-facing dashboards covering sales performance, inventory health, margin tracking, reconciliation, and payment flows — enabling data-driven decision-making.
- Intelligence layer: Define and build proactive recommendation systems (growth opportunities, pricing optimization, inventory alerts, listing quality scores) powered by data analysis and predictive models.
- Conduct rigorous analysis on all workflows, edge cases, and negative scenarios. Ensure the platform is bulletproof, reliable, and trustworthy at scale.
- Cross-Functional Leadership
- Partner with Engineering to architect complex, multi-stage workflows into technical specifications, scalable APIs, and automation blueprints.
- Collaborate with Design on brand experience — create intuitive interfaces that reduce friction, simplify complexity, and delight partners with every interaction.
- Work with Data & Analytics to define performance metrics, build automated insights dashboards, and establish feedback loops for continuous improvement.
- Align with Category Operations & Partner Success to understand real-world brand needs, validate solutions through pilots, and measure impact on partner business outcomes.
- Ensure Compliance & Finance alignment on financial workflows, data integrity, audit trails, and reconciliation logic.
- Brand Success & Growth
- Monitor partner health indicators — track adoption, satisfaction, and churn signals to proactively identify and resolve friction.
- Build direct feedback loops with top brands and category leaders — validate designs, prioritize roadmap requests, and communicate strategic direction.
- Partner with success teams to identify operational opportunities and deliver solutions that drive tangible business impact for brands.
- Metrics, Data & Accountability
- Establish baseline metrics and OKRs for each product phase (e.g., "Reduce new product listing TTL from 14 days to 3 days"; "Achieve 70% daily active partner rate").
- Build automated dashboards that measure adoption, usage, feature engagement, and business impact — enabling real-time insights without manual reporting.
- Conduct cohort analysis: new vs. established brands, category-level adoption patterns, feature effectiveness, and correlation with brand growth metrics.
- Be hands-on with data — run SQL queries, build dashboards, and derive insights independently. You should be able to answer critical business questions without bottlenecks.
Candidate Profile
Required Experience
- Minimum 6+ years of product management in B2B SaaS, marketplaces, or partner/platform products.
- Proven ownership of complex, multi-stakeholder platforms— you've built end-to-end partner experiences, marketplace tools, or operational workflows that scaled.
- Hands-on with data: Fluent in SQL, analytics tools, and dashboards. You run your own analyses and don't wait for bottlenecks.
- Familiarity with workflow automation and integration patterns— APIs, event streams, no-code automation — to build scalable, interconnected systems.
- Track record of shipping products at scale: You've taken features from concept through launch and optimization, with clear metrics showing impact.
Ideal Background
- Marketplace or platform experience (Amazon, Flipkart, Shopify, Etsy, or similar) — you understand the nuance of building for both sides of a network.
- Experience in India's e-commerce or SaaS ecosystem — familiarity with brand dynamics, regulatory landscape, and operational complexity.
- Previous work on partner-facing tools, automation platforms, or operational products that drive business value.
- Exposure to financial reconciliation, analytics platforms, or trust-building workflows.

- Limited hands-on product ownership — someone who's been a "strategy consultant" without shipping real products.
- Poor communication or writing skills — you need to write clear PRDs, articulate trade-offs, and influence cross-functional teams.

- Limited B2B or marketplace experience — B2C background without platform thinking or partner-side experience.
