The role
Nykaa is hiring a Senior Product Manager to own and evolve the Cart & Promotions platform — The core transaction and incentivization engine powering all Nykaa businesses. Operating horizontally across the entire customer funnel, it drives offers and promotions at every touchpoint. Looking ahead, this foundational platform will power conversational commerce, integrate seamlessly with AI agents, and simplify merchant journeys. . The platform is simultaneously the engine of conversion, the largest controllable line on the P&L after COGS, and increasingly the API surface that AI agents (Ask Nykaa, autonomous reorder, agentic shopping) will transact through. You will act as the central guardian of the cart and rule engine ecosystem — abstracting business asks across six verticals into scalable platform capabilities, driving financial intelligence into how incentives are designed, and bringing AI into how promotions are created, optimised, and governed.
What you will drive
- Platform & multi-business capability building. Translate fragmented asks across six verticals into reusable, configurable, fungible platform constructs. The same system has to serve pre-paid Beauty checkout and Superstore B2B credit terms without forking.
- Rule engine intelligence & financial discipline. Evolve the promotions engine for performance visibility, leak detection, and budget enforcement. Build the financial intelligence layer — incremental ROI, cannibalisation detection, margin guard-rails, per-rule unit-economics. Treat every basis point of promotional leak as recoverable margin.
- AI-native decisioning & agent-ready APIs. Ship ML-driven offer targeting with Data Science. Bring GenAI into the rule lifecycle (AI-assisted creation, anomaly detection, agent-proposed changes). Design cart and promotions as a first-class API surface that AI agents consume — the contract with agents is fundamentally different from the contract with the web/app.
- Cross-business orchestration & self-serve leverage. Build scalable campaign frameworks Marketing, Category, and Seller teams can use without bespoke product support. Every hour spent launching someone else's campaign is an hour not spent on the platform.
- Build with AI, not just for AI. Use AI tools fluently in your own workflow. Ship internal AI assets — campaign launch checks, financial reconciliation, anomaly investigation — that the team adopts.
What we're looking for
Experience & craft
- 5–8 years in Product Management, with at least 3+ years on platform, systems, or decisioning-engine products. E-commerce, marketplace, fintech, or high-scale consumer tech.
- Demonstrable ability to abstract messy business requirements into clean, configurable platform constructs. Experience with rule engines, decision engines, workflow platforms, or experimentation frameworks — and clear-eyed about their failure modes.
- High ownership through multi-stakeholder environments without escalation as the default tool.
Technical depth
- Comfortable working closely with backend architecture, system constraints, APIs.
- Understanding of decision engines, targeting systems, and experimentation frameworks.
- Strong ability to define metrics, success criteria, and ROI frameworks.
- Comfort working with large datasets and partnering with data science teams.
AI fluency — the new bar
- Use AI tools daily for spec drafting, analysis, exploration, and prototyping. Have shipped at least one internal asset (an agent, a workflow, a tool) that other PMs or partners use.
- Can articulate when to solve with deterministic rules vs an ML model vs an LLM agent — and the cost, latency, and reliability trade-offs of each.
- Have a point of view on how AI changes the shape of the cart and promotions surface over the next 24 months.
Business acumen
- Deep grasp of e-commerce levers: pricing, offers, shipping, basket construction, checkout conversion, refund and return economics. Reads a P&L; articulates margin trade-offs.
What this role offers

- Direct line of sight to P&L. If the platform improves, the P&L moves. No abstraction between the work and the outcome.
- The AI-platform intersection. Defines what "AI-native cart" means at Nykaa over the next 24 months — a defining mandate, not a supporting one.
- Senior-level partnership. Direct work with Engineering Directors, Data Science leadership, Marketing, Finance, Category, and Product Leadership across verticals.
