What You'll Do
Own and evolve key parts of Avalara’s International VAT Reporting product, helping customers stay compliant as tax reporting becomes more real-time and complex.
You’ll work at the intersection of regulation, product, and technology—translating VAT requirements into scalable product capabilities and delivering solutions that reduce customer effort and improve compliance outcomes.
What Your Responsibilities Will Be
- Own product areas supporting VAT reporting across multiple countries
- Translate regulatory requirements into clear, scalable product features
- Partner with Engineering, Design, and Content teams to deliver high-quality solutions
- Engage with customers and stakeholders to identify pain points and validate solutions
- Prioritise backlog based on compliance risk, customer impact, and business value
- Track product performance using metrics like adoption, accuracy, and efficiency
- Contribute to product strategy by identifying opportunities to simplify compliance
- Use AI tools to accelerate discovery, analysis, and decision-making
What You’ll Need To Be Successful
- 7+ years of product management experience in SaaS or regulated domains
- Experience with VAT, tax, or compliance products (or ability to ramp quickly)
- Strong analytical skills and ability to simplify complex problems
- Experience delivering products in cross-functional, agile teams
- Ability to influence stakeholders across technical and business teams
- Comfort using data and AI tools to inform decisions
