Job Description
- As a Senior UX Designer at Norstella, you will take on a leadership role in shaping user experiences across complex data-driven products.
- You'll drive end-to-end design solutions, mentor designers, and partner closely with product, engineering, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality designs while advancing our design system and ensuring usability, accessibility, and consistency across products.
Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end design process for complex projects, from discovery to delivery, leading workshops, design sprints, and cross-functional design discussions
- Act as a trusted design partner to product managers and engineering leads, presenting and defending design solutions to stakeholders with clear rationale and data-backed reasoning
- Provide guidance and feedback to Product Designers and interns, fostering a culture of learning, collaboration, and design excellence within the team
- Contribute to and help evolve Norstella's NXP design system, defining reusable components, patterns, and documentation for scalable adoption
- Integrate user research and usability testing into the design process, driving validation of designs through iterative testing and feedback loops
- Proactively bridge communication across BUs to ensure design consistency and alignment with accessibility standards and responsive design practices
- Champion accessibility and inclusivity in all design decisions, ensuring output meets business objectives while exceeding user expectations
- Share expertise on advanced Figma workflows, prototyping, and accessibility best practices
Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience in Product Design, with a portfolio demonstrating complex, high-impact work.
- Strong expertise in Figma (variables, prototyping, advanced component systems)
- Proven experience designing for responsive and mobile-first applications
- Experience working on complex data dashboards, workflow tools, or enterprise software
- Strong facilitation, storytelling, and communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to mentor and support junior designers
- Solid understanding of accessibility (WCAG) and usability best practices
- Experience with AI-driven workflows or clinical/healthcare data products (preferred)
- Familiarity with front-end development (HTML, CSS, React) to enhance collaboration with engineering (preferred)
- Experience influencing product strategy through design insights (preferred)
