Why This Role Exists
- We’re hiring a Product Designer to lead design across key parts of the Fly Fairly experience.
- This person will own problems from discovery through delivery, work closely with product and engineering, and bring structure and judgment to ambiguous, high-impact work.
- This is a role for someone who can confidently lead the design process, challenge assumptions, manage stakeholders well, and make crisp decisions in fast-moving environments.
- Just as importantly, we want someone who is AI-native in how they work.
- The design world has changed. The best designers today are not only strong in craft and systems thinking, but also fluent in new tools and workflows that let them move from idea to prototype to shipped product far faster than traditional processes allow.
- We want someone designing at the speed our engineers build.
What You'll Do
- 🎨 Design with purpose: Own the UX/UI across mobile and desktop for our flight booking platform from search results to cart, payment flows, loyalty, and more
- 🧪 Prototype and iterate fast: Work with AI and design tools (claude code, Stitch, lovable etc) ship testable concepts, and get user feedback quickly
- 📈 Design for outcomes: Collaborate with product, marketing, and engineering to improve core KPIs
- 📊 Create flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs that are elegant, fast to implement, and conversion-aware
- 🚀 Influence stakeholders through strong reasoning, not just strong visuals. Raise the bar on product thinking, not just screen design
Who You Are
- 🌟 Strong track record of owning product problems from ambiguity to shipped outcome
- 🌍 High craft bar in interaction design, visual design, and systems thinking
- 🎯 Exceptional attention to detail with a pixel-obsessive mindset; you care deeply about alignment, spacing, hierarchy, states, polish, and the small details that make a product feel truly world-class
- 🧠 Excellent product judgment and critical thinking. Able to structure messy problems & identify tradeoffs
- 💬 Strong communication skills: you can explain your thinking clearly and defend decisions with logic ️
- AI-native working style: you actively use modern AI tools in your workflow and possess a strong prototyping ability
- 🔥 Bonus if you're interested in product strategy and want to grow into a PM role
- ⚡ Startup or side-hustle experience required.
