Job details:
Senior Producer – Sports & Cricket Archive
Experience: 8–10 years | Reports to: AVP, Cricket Content
- Own archive content strategy and planning across Linear TV, SonyLIV, and YouTube — identifying, cataloguing, and prioritizing footage needs based on upcoming tournaments, milestones, and the network's broader sports calendar.
- Budget and resource-plan ahead of key windows (series, tournaments, anniversaries, player milestones) to ensure archive content is sourced, cleared, and edit-ready well in advance of air/publish dates, avoiding last-minute scrambles.
- Maintain hands-on familiarity with edit and post-production software (e.g., Premiere Pro, Avid, DaVinci Resolve, After Effects) to guide editors, troubleshoot workflows, and make informed calls on format, quality, and turnaround feasibility across platforms.
- Work closely with the Live Cricket and Digital Content creative teams to align archive-driven content with live match narratives, current storylines, and shoulder programming needs — ensuring archive isn't siloed but actively feeds real-time content.
- Anticipate trends and audience appetite for nostalgia, throwback, and historical content by reading the sports calendar ahead of time, and proactively pitch archive-led content ideas rather than only fulfilling requests.
- Manage rights, licensing, and platform-specific formatting nuances for archive footage — understanding what's usable where (Linear vs. SonyLIV vs. YouTube) and ensuring compliance across all outputs.
