Position - Senior Procurement
Experience - 8-12 Years
Location - Mumbai
On Role
Key Responsibilities
Procurement Planning & Strategy
Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with project timelines and business
objectives.
Plan procurement schedules for solar/IPP projects including modules, inverters,
structures, transformers, cables, BOS materials, and services.
Collaborate with Projects, Engineering, and Finance teams for procurement planning.
Vendor Management
Identify, evaluate, onboard, and develop suppliers/vendors for project materials and
services.
Build strong relationships with OEMs, EPC vendors, contractors, and logistics partners.
Conduct vendor performance reviews and maintain approved vendor database.
Sourcing & Negotiation
Float RFQs/RFPs, compare quotations, and negotiate commercials, delivery timelines,
and payment terms.
Finalize purchase orders, contracts, and framework agreements.
Ensure cost optimization without compromising quality and timelines.
Contract & Commercial Management
Review supplier contracts, technical-commercial terms, warranties, LD clauses, and
service agreements.
Track procurement budgets, savings initiatives, and commercial compliance.
Manage PO amendments, claims, and dispute resolution.
Logistics & Inventory Coordination
Coordinate with logistics teams for timely dispatch and delivery of materials to project
sites.
Monitor material availability and project requirements to avoid delays.
Work with stores/site teams for inventory management and material reconciliation.
Compliance & Documentation
Ensure Procurement Compliance With Company Policies And Audit Requirements.
Maintain procurement MIS, documentation, and approval workflows.
Support internal and external audits.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor s degree in Engineering (Electrical/Mechanical preferred) or Supply Chain
Management.
MBA/PGDM in Supply Chain, Operations, or Procurement preferred.
Experience
8 12+ years of procurement experience in renewable energy, solar EPC, infrastructure,
or IPP sector.
Strong exposure to procurement of solar equipment and project materials.
Required Skills
Experience in handling large-scale utility/C&I solar procurement is preferred.
