Senior Principal Software Engineer

About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Senior Principal Software Engineer to join our clients'engineering team. This is a highly technical Individual Contributor (IC) role for someone who is passionate about building scalable, high-performance software systems and enjoys solving complex engineering challenges while remaining deeply hands-on.
You will work closely with architects and cross-functional engineering teams to design and build modern, cloud-native applications and influence technical decisions across multiple projects.
What You'll Do
- Collaborate with architects and engineering teams to design and evolve scalable system architectures.
- Drive hands-on development by writing high-quality, maintainable, and scalable code.
- Contribute to technical solution design and engineering decisions.
- Participate in architecture, design, and code reviews.
- Optimize system performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Troubleshoot complex production issues and drive technical excellence.
- Mentor engineers through technical leadership while remaining actively involved in implementation.
What We're Looking For
- 10-16 years of hands-on software engineering experience.
- Strong expertise in designing and building enterprise-scale software.
- Experience with microservices, distributed systems, and cloud-native architectures.
- Excellent coding, design, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience collaborating with architects and multiple engineering teams.
- Ability to influence technical direction without direct ownership of architecture.
- Exposure to multiple technology domains and industries.
- Experience with .NET and Microsoft Azure is preferred but not mandatory.
