Job Description – Senior Pre-Sales Consultant

Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced and customer-facing Senior Pre-Sales Consultant to strengthen our Security Practice and support strategic customer engagements across SMB, SMCC, Enterprise Agreement (EA), and international, white-labelled customers.
The ideal candidate should have strong techno-commercial expertise in Microsoft Security solutions, Managed SOC services, cloud security, and enterprise security architecture. The resource will directly engage with customers, understand business and technical requirements, conduct workshops/demos, and support opportunity closure in coordination with sales and delivery teams.
The role is expected to improve technical engagement maturity, strengthen enterprise customer confidence, and enhance the overall solution closure capability for strategic opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
· Engage directly with customers to understand business, security, compliance, and operational requirements.
· Lead technical discussions, solution presentations, workshops, architecture reviews, and executive-level engagements.
· Independently handle CISO/CXO-level discussions and strategic advisory conversations.
· Design end-to-end security solutions across Microsoft Security stack and related technologies.
· Conduct customer demos, Proof of Concepts (POCs), assessments, and technical positioning activities.
· Support RFP/RFQ responses, solution documentation, sizing, BOM preparation, and effort estimation.
· Work closely with sales teams to drive pipeline conversion and opportunity closure.
· Provide strategic guidance for SMCC, EA, and global, white-labelled customer engagements.
· Collaborate with Microsoft, OEMs, distributors, and alliance partners for solution alignment and joint opportunities.
· Support managed services and SOC solution positioning including SIEM, SOAR, XDR, MDR, and cloud security services.
· Perform security posture assessments, gap analysis, and roadmap recommendations.
· Support pricing strategy, solution profitability, and commercial positioning.
· Participate in customer QBRs, roadmap discussions, and digital transformation initiatives.
· Drive customer confidence during technical evaluations, escalations, and critical discussions.
· Mentor and guide junior pre-sales resources to improve overall team maturity and customer engagement capability.
· Stay updated with latest Microsoft Security technologies, licensing models, AI-driven security solutions, and industry trends.

Required Experience
· Strong experience in customer-facing pre-sales/security consulting roles.
· Experience handling Enterprise and mid-market customer engagements.
· Ability to independently drive technical discussions and solution positioning without OEM dependency.
· Good understanding of Microsoft licensing and enterprise security architecture.
· Experience working with global customers and partner-driven engagements is preferred.
· Strong understanding of compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, PCI-DSS, GDPR, HIPAA, etc.
· Experience in preparing executive presentations, architecture documents, and strategic proposals.
· Ability to handle multi-cloud and hybrid security discussions.
· Excellent communication, presentation, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills.
Preferred Certifications
· Microsoft Certified: Cybersecurity Architect Expert
· Microsoft Certified: Security Operations Analyst
· Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator
· SC-100 / SC-200 / AZ-500 or any cybersecurity global certifications
