Role Description
Senior Pre-Sales Engineer – Karnataka
The Senior Pre-Sales Engineer will be based in Bengaluru and will support pre-sales activities across Karnataka, working closely with the Sales team, customers, system integrators and channel partners.
The role involves understanding customer requirements and designing suitable Enterprise, Data Center, SMB and Wireless networking solutions. The engineer will prepare solution proposals, BoQs, technical specifications and RFP/RFQ responses, and conduct customer presentations, product demonstrations, technical workshops and PoCs.
The Senior Pre-Sales Engineer will work closely with the Regional Technical Manager and PM/PE teams for solution design, technical validation, product support and opportunity development. The role will also provide L2/L3 technical support during solution deployment, coordinate with technical teams for issue resolution, and ensure smooth pre-sales-to-deployment handover.
The role also requires regular engagement with partners and customers, staying updated on D-Link’s product portfolio and networking technologies, and providing customer/market feedback to the PM/PE teams.
Qualifications
- Experience in Pre-Sales / Solution Consulting in Enterprise Networking.
- Good knowledge of Switching, Routing, Wireless LAN, Data Center Networking and Network Management.
- Ability to understand customer requirements and design end-to-end networking solutions.
- Experience in preparing BoQs, technical proposals, specifications and RFP/RFQ responses.
- Experience in customer presentations, technical workshops, product demonstrations and PoCs.
- Good understanding of network architecture, security and networking standards.
- Ability to work closely with Sales teams, System Integrators and Channel Partners.
- Good communication, presentation and customer-facing skills.
- Experience in Enterprise, Government, Education, Manufacturing or Data Center projects will be an advantage.
- Willingness to travel across Karnataka for customer and partner engagements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, IT or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
