Senior Power Electronics Hardware Engineer – Solar & Energy Systems (m/f/d)

YOUR ROLE
We are looking for a hands-on power electronics engineer to lead and own hardware development across our energy systems.
You will work across the full lifecycle—from architecture and design to testing, debugging, and field validation—ensuring reliable performance in demanding real-world conditions.
Key Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end development of power electronics hardware
- Design and develop DC-DC converters and energy systems
- Lead development of:
- Battery Management Systems (BMS)
- LED driver electronics
- Communication interfaces (CAN, RS485, DALI)
- Drive system integration across power, control, and IoT devices
- Define hardware architecture and component/vendor selection
- Perform testing, validation, and hardware debugging
- Ensure performance under thermal, surge, and outdoor conditions
- Support failure analysis and continuous product improvement
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
- Bachelor’s / Master’s in Electrical / Electronics Engineering
- 5–8+ years of hands-on experience in power electronics hardware design
Core Expertise:
- DC-DC converter design, testing, and debugging
- Power electronics validation and failure analysis
- Solid understanding of testing, validation, and EMI/EMC challenges
Relevant Experience:
- Battery Management Systems (BMS)
- LED driver electronics
- Solar or energy systems (preferred)
Practical Skills:
- Hardware bring-up, lab testing, and root-cause debugging
- Familiarity with EMI/EMC considerations
- Use of oscilloscopes, power analyzers, and test equipment
- PCB design tools (Altium / Eagle or equivalent)
Additional (Nice to Have):
- Basic firmware understanding
- Experience with communication protocols (CAN, RS485, DALI)
- Exposure to IoT or connected systems
