Avansis Solutions is looking for a hands-on, senior-level Power BI expert who can independently own both the development and administration side of a complex enterprise BI environment — not just build reports, but architect models, tune performance, and keep the platform running smoothly in production.

Power BI Development & Data Modeling
- Design and build complex semantic/data models supporting enterprise-wide reporting
- Develop dashboards, scorecards, and KPIs in both Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service
- Advanced DAX, Power Query/M, calculated columns, relationships, and hierarchies
- Implement Row-Level Security (RLS) and enforce enterprise data security standards
- Strong focus on model and report performance tuning
Cross-Functional Business Reporting
This role will build reporting solutions that span:
- Sales — bookings, pipeline, revenue, customer/product performance, forecasting
- Finance — P&L, budget vs. actuals, expense tracking, financial KPIs
- Manufacturing/Supply Chain — Inventory, Procurement, Demand/Supply planning, production KPIs
- HR — Headcount, hiring, attrition, workforce analytics
Enterprise Data Source Integration
- NetSuite ERP (Finance, Order Management, Procurement, Inventory)
- Salesforce (Accounts, Opportunities, Pipeline, Customer data)
- Planning systems (Demand, Supply, Financial/Enterprise Planning)
- Other ERP, CRM, HR, and manufacturing data sources
Data Warehouse, SQL & Database (Must-Have)
- Proven enterprise Data Warehouse project experience
- Strong grasp of dimensional modeling — Star Schema, Fact/Dimension tables, surrogate keys
- Advanced SQL complex joins, CTEs, subqueries, window functions, aggregations, stored procedures
- Solid relational database fundamentals: tables, views, indexes, keys, query optimization
- Ability to troubleshoot query performance and validate data across source systems, warehouse, and Power BI
- Experience with SQL Server, Azure SQL, Databricks SQL, Snowflake, Oracle, or similar
🔹 Power BI Administration
- Hands-on admin of Power BI Service — workspaces, apps, users, security groups, permissions
- Configure and troubleshoot gateways, data source connections, and scheduled refreshes
- Monitor dataset/semantic model refreshes, performance, and capacity utilization
- Manage deployments across Dev, Test, and Production environments
- Strong understanding of BI governance, security, and lifecycle management
- Power BI Premium / Microsoft Fabric capacity administration experience preferred
🔹 Nice-to-Have
- Microsoft Fabric, Azure, Databricks, or Snowflake exposure
- Git/Azure DevOps and CI/CD experience for Power BI deployments
- Understanding of ETL/ELT processes, data quality, and source-to-target mapping
- Comfort working alongside Data Engineering teams consuming curated Gold-layer datasets
This is a senior, independent, hands-on role. We need someone who can move fluidly between deep technical development, platform administration, and business-facing analytics — without needing much oversight.
