Must-Have Skills (Core – Networking & Platform):
- Strong understanding of Azure Networking
- VNet, Subnets
- NSG, UDR
- Private Endpoints / Private Link
- VNet Peering, Hub-Spoke
- Strong knowledge of Azure DNS & name resolution
- Azure DNS
- Private DNS & Private Resolver management (critical)
- Experience with Ingress, Egress & Traffic Management
- Deep expertise in Kubernetes Networking
- Understanding of API Gateway & AI Gateway patterns
- Auth, throttling, routing, observability
- Experience with secure connectivity patterns
- VPN / ExpressRoute (awareness)
- Zero Trust principles
- Entra ID / OAuth2 integration
- Strong experience with container-based platforms
- AKS (primary)
- Azure Container Apps (important – part of platform standard)
Key Responsibilities
- Design and build self-service Azure platform (AI/ML, APIs, compute, data)
- Engineer and operate AKS / Container Apps-based platform
- Implement API gateway, ingress, service mesh patterns
- Enable secure AI consumption (auth, rate limiting, auditability)
- Build reusable platform templates and automation
- Drive Terraform-based infrastructure standardization
- Build and manage CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps)
- Implement observability (OpenTelemetry, Grafana, etc.)
- Ensure security, compliance, and platform guardrails
- Enable product team onboarding via self-service
Nice to Have
- Experience with Azure AI (AI Foundry, OpenAI, LLMs)
- Exposure to AI platform / model gateway patterns
