Our platform combines engineering simulation, industrial knowledge, AI and advanced visualization to help industrial companies design, optimize and understand complex engineering systems.
We are looking for an experienced Senior Physics Simulation Engineer to lead the development of our simulation capabilities and help build one of Europe's most advanced browser-based engineering platforms.
Role
You will be responsible for designing and implementing advanced engineering simulation workflows covering Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), Finite Element Analysis (FEA), mesh generation, numerical methods and AI-assisted simulations.
You will work closely with AI engineers, backend architects and frontend engineers to transform complex numerical simulations into scalable, production-ready industrial software.
This is not a traditional simulation analyst position.
We are looking for someone who enjoys building simulation platforms, automating engineering workflows and integrating numerical methods with modern software engineering practices.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop industrial simulation workflows.
- Integrate OpenFOAM into cloud-native simulation pipelines.
- Develop CFD and FEA automation frameworks.
- Build reusable simulation services and APIs.
- Implement simulation orchestration pipelines.
- Develop surrogate models and reduced-order models.
- Optimize simulation performance and scalability.
- Develop mesh generation and preprocessing workflows.
- Integrate CalculiX, Code_Aster, FEniCS and other open-source solvers.
- Develop Python libraries for simulation automation.
- Build validation and benchmarking frameworks.
- Collaborate with AI engineers on Physics-Informed Machine Learning.
- Collaborate with frontend engineers to develop interactive simulation visualization.
- Design scalable simulation architectures.
- Review simulation quality and numerical accuracy.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical architecture.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 6 years of professional experience in engineering simulation.
- Strong expertise with OpenFOAM.
- Strong understanding of Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD).
- Strong understanding of Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
- Professional experience with CalculiX, Code_Aster or FEniCS.
- Excellent Python programming skills.
- Good C++ knowledge.
- Experience developing scientific software.
- Experience automating simulation workflows.
- Strong understanding of numerical methods.
- Experience with Linux environments.
- Experience using Git.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
