Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Senior PHP Developer with 8+ years of hands-on experience in designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise-grade web applications using the LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP) stack. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in PHP frameworks, database design, REST APIs, application architecture, performance optimization, and secure coding practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable web applications using PHP and the LAMP stack.
- Develop robust backend services and RESTful APIs.
- Design and optimize MySQL database schemas, queries, stored procedures, and indexing.
- Build reusable, maintainable, and high-performance application components.
- Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
- Optimize application performance, scalability, and security.
- Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely resolutions.
- Participate in code reviews and enforce coding standards and best practices.
- Work closely with DevOps teams for deployment, CI/CD, and infrastructure improvements.
- Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance.
- Prepare technical documentation and support application enhancements.
Required Skills
- 8+ years of experience in PHP application development.
- Strong expertise in the LAMP Stack (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP).
- Strong experience with PHP frameworks such as Laravel, Symfony, or CodeIgniter.
- Strong knowledge of Core PHP and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP).
- Experience in developing RESTful APIs and third-party API integrations.
- Strong knowledge of MySQL, database optimization, query tuning, indexing, stored procedures, and transactions.
- Experience with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, and AJAX.
- Experience with version control systems such as Git.
- Strong understanding of MVC architecture and design patterns.
- Experience with authentication, authorization, and web security best practices.
- Knowledge of caching technologies such as Redis or Memcached.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Docker and containerized deployments.
- Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Familiarity with Apache/Nginx server configuration.
- Experience with message queues (RabbitMQ/Kafka) is an advantage.
- Exposure to microservices architecture.
- Knowledge of unit testing frameworks such as PHPUnit.
- Familiarity with Composer package management.
