Senior Payments ManagerTravelexfull-timeRequired skillsaccountingbankingcomplianceend-to-endOracleERPAbout the role Travelex Website: travelex-corporate.com Job details: Role purposeWe are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Payments Manager to lead and oversee our payment’s operations function.This role will be responsible for managing a team of 5 professionals, ensuring accurate and timely processing of payments, maintaining strong internal controls, and driving operational efficiencyThe ideal candidate will bring strong team leadership experience along with hands-on expertise in Oracle ERP systems.The role will report into the Assistant Vice PresidentKey AccountabilitiesTechnicalOversee end-to-end payment processes, including vendor payment & reconciliations.Assure timely clearance of queries from business owners and customers.Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.Drive process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.Ensure items are being escalated in accordance with agreed procedures.Monitor and manage payment-related risks and controlsReview and approve payment batches and exceptions as per delegated authorityPrepare and present reports, dashboards, and insights to senior leadershipSupport audits by providing required documentation and ensuring complianceManage stakeholder relationships with banks, vendors, and internal departmentsRelationship managementDevelop sound professional working relationships with colleagues, resolutions data analysts, business staff and managementDevelop sound professional working relationships with the business, 3rd parties and Travelex teams across the business to improve the investigation and resolution processCommunicationProactive and regular communications with the business and other areas of Finance whose work impacts, or depends upon the Reconciliations teamActively communicate and seek feedback from colleagues and customersBe supportive and encourage support for “people initiatives” e.g. Your Voice, Travelex Awards etcPlay a participative part in Team BriefsBe proactive in the provision of feedback and the delivery of ideas to develop and improve Travelex Finance services, those within the Payments team.Ensure feedback to line manager outlining general activities of role and ‘how we are doing’GeneralUndertakes any necessary training associated with the duties of the post and participates in training and development proceduresComplies with all Company Health and Safety policies and legislation in the performance of their duties and responsibilitiesMaintains confidentiality and observes data protection guidelinesManage expenses in accordance with Company Expense PolicyCarries out any other reasonable duties commensurate with their capabilityEssentialB.com /PG/MBA with good understand of Accounting, Payments AP/AR & ReconciliationsExperience of working in fast paced / Global finance department. Prior experience working in shared service environment with an on/offshore presence is preferred.8–12 years of experience in payments operations or finance rolesAble to demonstrate proven experience at this level within a similar financial environmentAbility to communicate clearly with internal and external stakeholdersExperience of financial services/banking with an understanding of basic bookkeepingAbility to deliver to tight deadlinesLocal language skills to interact with relevant 3rd parties/Travelex team/branch to resolve issues related to payments.Ability to maintain accuracy - key when confirming incoming valueHigh attention to detailAbility to resolve issues to conclusionDemonstrable experience of resolving variances & queries.Experience of using finance systemsDesirableExcellent understanding of upstream systems and core Travelex reconciliations systems Click on Apply to know more.
