Role Description:
As a Chartered Accountant – Partner, you will lead and oversee the firm’s Audit & Assurance practice, ensuring high-quality delivery, regulatory compliance, effective risk management, and strong governance standards. You will build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships while acting as a trusted advisor to clients.
The role also involves driving business growth through client acquisition, expanding service offerings, and leading key strategic initiatives. Additionally, you will mentor and develop teams, enhance audit quality, and drive process improvements and digital transformation initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Audit Leadership & Execution: Lead the Audit & Assurance practice, act as signing partner, and oversee planning, risk assessment, and execution of audits, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality outcomes in line with applicable standards.
- Quality Control & Compliance: Ensure adherence to Standards on Auditing, ICAI Code of Ethics, and regulatory frameworks (Companies Act, SEBI, RBI, etc.), drive audit quality reviews, and manage peer reviews/NFRA readiness.
- Client Relationship & Advisory: Serve as a trusted advisor to key clients, present audit findings, and provide guidance on financial reporting, accounting policies, and regulatory developments while managing complex issues and escalations.
- Practice Development & Growth: Drive business growth through new client acquisition, proposal development, and expanding service offerings such as IFC, internal audits, and advisory services; actively represent the firm in industry forums.
- Financial & Operational Oversight: Oversee financial analysis, engagement performance, billing, collections, and overall profitability of the audit practice.
- Process & Transformation: Identify and implement process improvements, strengthen audit methodologies, and support digital transformation initiatives to enhance efficiency and quality.
- Team Leadership & Capability Building: Lead, mentor, and develop teams, manage performance and appraisals, and drive continuous learning through training on technical and regulatory updates.
- Governance & Stakeholder Management: Contribute to firm strategy and governance, ensure compliance with independence and risk policies, and collaborate with internal leaders and external stakeholders to deliver integrated solutions.
Qualifications & Attiributes:
🎓 Chartered Accountant (CA) and member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), with a valid Certificate of Practice (CoP).
📊 Minimum 15 years of post-qualification experience, with strong exposure to statutory audits under the Companies Act, 2013.
🏢 Proven experience in auditing listed entities, banks, NBFCs, insurance companies.
🧾 Demonstrated expertise in audit execution, regulatory compliance, and managing complex audit engagements.
⚖️ Strong understanding of applicable regulations including Companies Act, SEBI, RBI, and other regulatory frameworks.
🧠 Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented approach and high level of professional integrity.
🤝 Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building capabilities, with the ability to engage senior leadership and clients.
