Role Description
This full-time on-site role, based in Mumbai, is for a Senior Education Counselor. The Counselor will provide guidance to students, help them identify suitable academic paths, and assist with study abroad consultations, application processes, and related documentation. It involves counseling students for admissions abroad especially, guiding them through university shortlisting, profile building, application strategies, essays, and visa processes.
The candidate should have hands-on experience handling applications through platforms such as Common App, UCAS, UC Portal, OUAC, Uniassist and other systems. The role also includes mentoring junior counselors, managing student timelines, coordinating with universities, and ensuring high-quality student support throughout the admission journey.
Qualifications
- Expertise in Educational Consulting and Education systems
- Proficiency in Career and Student Counseling techniques
- Strong Communication skills and the ability to build rapport with diverse client bases
- Experience in guiding students through higher education decisions and study abroad opportunities
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Counseling, or related field; advanced degrees are an advantage
- Proficiency in digital platforms and tools for online communication and document handling
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented, client-focused environment
- Prior experience in educational consultancy or counseling is Required
