SECTION II: ROLE SUMMARY
The role will be responsible to manage end‑to‑end ownership of RCSA execution, KRI monitoring, thematic risk assessments, product and process reviews, control testing, governance reporting, and committee support for Branch Banking, Customer Experience, Fee‑Based Businesses, Contact Center Operations, and other units as assigned.
SECTION III: KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ ACCOUNTABILITIES
Strategic/ Managerial Responsibilities
This role supports the central ORM function in strengthening operational risk governance across Branch Banking, Customer Experience, Fee-Based Businesses, Contact Center, and other assigned units.
Contribute to the development and enhancement of ORM methodologies, including RCSA framework, KRI governance, control testing protocols, and product/process review standards.
Core Responsibilities
- RCSA Execution: Lead RCSA cycles for assigned units, validate control effectiveness, assess residual risk, and ensure timely closure of issues.
- KRI Monitoring: Track, validate, and analyze KRIs; flag breaches; monitor persistent trends; and drive follow-ups with unit SPOCs.
- Product & Process Reviews: Conduct deep-dive reviews of existing and new products/processes to assess risk exposures and control adequacy; provide actionable recommendations.
- Control Testing: Perform independent control tests, validate compliance with SOPs, identify gaps, and track remediation actions.
- Operational Risk Event Governance: Review OREs, ensure timely reporting, validate RCA quality, and support closure of linked issues (RA, RCSA issues, VRRs).
- Issue Monitoring: Track overdue and near‑due governance items; escalate delays; ensure adherence to timelines.
- Data Validation & Reporting: Maintain high standards of accuracy in dashboards, monthly portfolio reports, and executive summaries.
People Management Or Self-Management Responsibilities
- Communicate effectively with teams (ORM and other stakeholders) and management levels
- Staying up to date with emerging risks including regulatory requirements, product/process changes, frauds, IS/IT security issues etc.
- Demonstrate disciplined task management, timely delivery, and strong ownership of assigned workstreams.
- Manage stakeholder expectations by maintaining continuous engagement with business unit heads, BUCOs, and risk SPOCs.
- Support capability building by conducting ORM awareness sessions, training on RCSA/KRI methodologies, and guiding stakeholders on risk reporting protocols.
Risk And Internal Control Responsibilities
- Monitor, review, and communicate the impact of risks to businesses
- Work together with other organizational lines of defense (i.e. Compliance, Internal Audit, etc.).
- Maintain independence and objectivity while conducting control reviews, thematic assessments, and issue validations.
- Identify control gaps proactively and recommend corrective actions, compensating controls, or process redesigns.
- Ensure timely reporting of risk events, breaches, and emerging concerns; track mitigation actions until closure.
- Uphold documentation standards through audit-ready files, clearly defined test results, and verifiable evidence.
