Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Oracle PL/SQL Backend Developer to architect and maintain the business logic layer of enterprise-grade applications. The candidate should be a computer science graduate with 10+ years’ experience. The ideal candidate will be an expert in SQL and PL/SQL, with deep experience in JSON parsing, data encryption, and cloud-native application development using stored procedures and packages. A flair for designing intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces is a strong plus. The candidate should be willing to work hand-on without any assistance from with minimal assistant from Senior Staff.
Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and optimize complex PL/SQL stored procedures, functions, and packages
• Implement secure data handling using advanced encryption techniques
• Parse and manipulate JSON data structures within Oracle environments
• Architect backend logic for cloud-based applications with high performance and scalability
• Collaborate with frontend/UI teams to ensure seamless integration and user experience
• Maintain and enhance existing database codebase with a focus on performance and reliability
• Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, and solution architecture
• Implement code automation using AI techniques so to reduce development time
• Test backend releases received and assist UI developers/Support/QA Teams in using them
Required Skills
• Expert-level proficiency in Oracle SQL and PL/SQL with hand-on working experience
• Strong experience with JSON data handling, debugging and transformation
• Hands-on knowledge of encryption standards and secure coding practices
• Proven track record in developing cloud-ready backend solutions
• Solid understanding of data modelling, indexing, and query optimization
• Ability to conceptualize and contribute to UI/UX design for business applications
• Familiarity with version control systems and release management
• Flair for innovation and using AI techniques for code automation
Preferred Experience
• Managing Business Logic for robust Enterprise Applications
• Integration with RESTful APIs and microservices
• Exposure to multi-tenant cloud architectures
• Expert level knowledge of using Json with PL SQL
Expectations
• Create and maintain of Oracle Database Objects - PL/SQL (Packages, Procedures, Functions etc)
• Use Oracle Tools such as SQL Developer, Toad etc
• Have extensive knowledge of SQL & PL/SQL, Json handling.
• Manage several database setups concurrently under different projects
• Prepare DB release bundles for QA, after completion of DEV testing.
• Have experience in version control management
• Have ability to handle multiple concurrent projects efficiently and be able to switch gears swiftly
• Liaise with customers, when needed, to understand issues and resolve them at the earliest.
• Identify problems and potential resolutions to support end users
• Analyse, debug and resolve technical issues
• Handle the tasks independently
• Have a passion for development strictly adhering to target timelines
• Maintain strict discipline and organized documentation of all the work done.
• Prepare Periodic Work Report
• Work with other development and testing teams with dedication and co-operation.
• Ensure that documentation and other processes are followed to facilitate excellent quality control
• Good communication skills in English (spoken & written)
