Role Description The Senior or Lead PTC Windchill Developer will be responsible for designing, configuring, customizing, and maintaining Windchill-based PLM solutions for enterprise clients. Day-to-day activities include analyzing business requirements, developing and integrating Windchill modules, optimizing system performance, and ensuring best practices in deployment and configuration management. The role involves collaborating with solution architects, business analysts, and cross-functional engineering teams to implement enhancements, troubleshoot issues, and support upgrades and migrations. The Senior or Lead Developer will also mentor junior team members, contribute to technical documentation, and participate in code reviews and quality assurance activities. This is a full-time, on-site role located in Bengaluru South.
Qualifications
- Strong experience with PTC Windchill development, configuration, and customization, including workflows, UI customization, and data model management.
- Proficiency in core development technologies such as Java, JSP, JavaScript, REST/SOAP web services, and related frameworks used for Windchill extensions and integrations.
- Hands-on experience with PLM concepts, Product Lifecycle Management processes, and integration of Windchill with CAD/ERP and other enterprise applications.
- Knowledge of modern software engineering practices, including version control (e.g., Git), CI/CD pipelines, unit testing, and performance tuning in complex enterprise environments.
- Ability to gather and analyze requirements, translate them into technical solutions, and produce clear technical documentation and design specifications.
- Demonstrated capability to lead technical teams, mentor developers, conduct code reviews, and ensure adherence to coding and configuration standards.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms and modern architectures; exposure to AI/ML or data-driven solutions within PLM or engineering contexts is an advantage.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience in enterprise PLM implementations.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional stakeholders in an on-site, fast-paced environment.
