Key Responsibilities
Clinical Excellence
- Conduct comprehensive eye examinations and accurate refraction tests.
- Detect common visual conditions and recommend appropriate prescriptions.
- Provide professional guidance on single vision, progressive, specialty, and digital lenses.
- Maintain proper patient records and clinical documentation.
Advanced Vision Solutions
- Recommend myopia management solutions where applicable.
- Guide customers on contact lenses, progressive lenses, blue-light protection, and specialty lenses.
- Promote multiple pair solutions based on lifestyle needs (reading, computer use, driving, etc.).
Customer Experience
- Deliver a high-quality consultation experience ensuring trust and confidence in vision care.
- Educate customers about eye health, lens technologies, and preventive care.
- Work closely with the showroom team to provide seamless service.
Clinical Services Expansion
- Support initiatives like Home Eye Test services.
- Participate in vision screening programs and community eye care initiatives.
- Promote awareness about preventive eye care.
Team Development
- Mentor junior optometrists and trainees.
- Support knowledge sharing and clinical skill improvement within the team.
- Contribute to training initiatives within the organization.
Experience & Qualifications
- Minimum 3–7 years of clinical experience in conducting eye examinations, detecting vision impairments, and prescribing corrective lenses
- Knowledge of advanced optometry techniques, equipment usage, and eye health conditions
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to explain diagnoses and treatments effectively
- Dedication to providing excellent client service combined with attention to detail and precision
- Ability to work collaboratively within a Showroom team and Workshop staff and maintain accurate client records
- Proficiency in staying updated with advancements and trends in the field of optometry
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Optometry or a related field
- Relevant experience or certification in optometry practices is highly desirable
