Title: Senior Operations ManagerDescription:
Be an individual contributor and lead a team of operations specialists in supporting a platform for quantitative trading. The platform includes the following:
- Order management system: A global OMS that is responsible for managing order in all the major markets around the world
- Data Platform: The data platform ingests and processes data from all the major data vendors (Bloomberg, LSEG, Factset, etc). The datasets include reference data like symbology and corporate action and extends to all the other datasets used in systematic research. The platform is responsible for backfilling data and processing the daily updates to data
- Realtime Market Data: The platform has feedhandler that processes consolidated realtime market data for all the major markets around the world
- Middle Office Functions:
- Ingesting daily files from all the major custodians and reconciling it
- Providing a realtime IBOR (Investment Book of Record) to the clients
- Reconciling executions, positions and cash updates
- Reporting to all the counter-parties, such as fund services and exchanges
- Compliance and Surveillance
Domain Expertise::
- Have experience with managing the front-office or middle-office function for trading firms or asset managers.
- Have experience with listed instruments such as equities/etf. Experience with listed derivatives such as futures would be an asset
- Be extremely familiar with data for either the front office trading function or the middle office function. A good understanding of corporate action data and how they are applied on a global portfolio of equities would be ideal.
- Familiarity with data used in systematic data, both realtime and daily, would be a bonus.
- An understanding of typical reconciliation processes between custodian, PM, fund-services, etc would be beneficial
Soft-Skills;
- Experience in dealing with trading/hedge fund clients would be beneficial
- Ability to manage a complex trading env through metrics and well-thought out processes is required
Technical Skills
- Data management using Relational Databases and SQL
- Scripting using Python
- Ability to navigate an application environment in Linux in AWS/GCP
- Ability to use Coding Tools such as Claude to create tools for operations would be a bonus
