Shift: 24×7 Managed Services Support Rotation

📌 About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior OpenShift Platform & Infrastructure Engineer to manage and operate enterprise‑scale Red Hat OpenShift (OCP) clusters on Azure IaaS. This role is part of a large managed services engagement, focusing on platform engineering, infrastructure operations, automation, monitoring, patching, disaster recovery, and production support across multiple OpenShift environments.
🔑 Key Responsibilities
- OpenShift Cluster Management – Operate and support enterprise OCP 4.x clusters on Azure IaaS.
- Lifecycle Operations – Node provisioning, autoscaling, patching, upgrades, and worker pool operations.
- Azure Infrastructure – Manage VMs, VNets, NSGs, Load Balancers, Managed Disks, and Storage Accounts.
- Infrastructure Automation – Support Terraform, YAML provisioning, and Azure DevOps pipelines.
- Monitoring & Incident Response – Manage alerts, certificate renewals, DR drills, backup/restore, and on‑call production support.
- Collaboration – Coordinate with Red Hat support and infra/app teams during outages.
🎯 Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of Kubernetes/OpenShift administration
- Strong expertise in Red Hat OpenShift 4.x & Azure IaaS
- Enterprise‑scale production cluster management
- Deep knowledge of etcd, ingress, DNS, Machine API, cluster operators
- Hands‑on with Terraform, IaC, Azure DevOps, YAML
- Strong Linux administration & troubleshooting
- Knowledge of TLS/SSL, RBAC, identity integration
🌟 Preferred Skills
- Red Hat OpenShift & Azure certifications
- Experience with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Prometheus, Grafana
- Exposure to GitOps, ArgoCD, container security tools
- Scripting in Bash/Python
