We are looking for a Senior Network Monitoring Specialist who will deliver holistic network monitoring capabilities by gathering operational status insights, with a strong focus on maximising end-user experience and productivity. The role is responsible for designing and implementing network monitoring solutions and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deploy automation initiatives. It enables proactive and efficient monitoring and alerting of complex network infrastructure, ensuring early detection and resolution of issues. The role also involves close collaboration with Domain Connectivity teams to configure and implement relevant performance metrics.
We are seeking a technically strong professional with deep knowledge of network systems who can contribute effectively to enhancing organisational performance. The ideal candidate will leverage their expertise to improve monitoring effectiveness, support operational excellence, and align with the organisation’s vision and strategic direction.

Your tasks
- Installing, configuring, and maintaining in-house network monitoring solutions
- Collaborating with internal teams to design and implement effective network monitoring strategies
- Partnering with support teams to ensure comprehensive monitoring of network systems
- Maintaining and updating network monitoring baselines to ensure accuracy and relevance
- Implementing changes and enhancements to monitoring solutions based on evolving requirements
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of monitoring processes and services
- Analysing existing monitoring setups to drive optimisation, standardisation, and automation
- Engaging with external vendors and suppliers to address performance gaps and implementing improvements
- Ensuring governance through proper documentation and adherence to defined processes
- Communicating monitoring insights and updates effectively to relevant stakeholders
- Evaluating and implementing improvement ideas based on technical, financial, and functional feasibility
- Managing, controlling, and optimising network monitoring practices in line with industry standards
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years of experience supporting network infrastructure
- Expertise in implementing and maintaining monitoring solutions, e.g., SolarWinds, PRTG, Checkmk, Nagios
- Strong understanding of ThousandEyes for network diagnostics and performance monitoring
- In-depth knowledge of networking concepts (L2/L3, TCP/IP, UDP, routing protocols, VPNs, firewalls, Wi-Fi)
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, and Bash and Working knowledge of REST APIs and their integration with monitoring tools
- Familiarity with AIOps platforms (Moogsoft, BigPanda, ServiceNow) and basic knowledge of cloud platforms (Microsoft Azure, AWS, Google Cloud Platform)
- Understanding of network security components, including firewalls, access control, and VPNs
- Experience with enterprise networking technologies (LAN, WLAN, SD-WAN, such as Cisco Viptela)
- Knowledge of enterprise Wi-Fi solutions and Cisco ISE for authentication
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks based on severity
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with global stakeholders
- Fluent English required
