Job Title: Senior Network Engineer (L2/L3) - Network Operations & Architecture
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced
L2/L3 Network Engineer with strong expertise in enterprise network operations, network architecture, team management, vendor coordination, and ISP management. The candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, monitoring, and supporting complex network environments while leading a team of network engineers and ensuring high availability of critical business services.
Key Responsibilities
Network Operations & Support
- Manage and support enterprise LAN, WAN, MPLS, SD-WAN, Internet, VPN, Wireless, and Data Center networks.
- Provide L2/L3 troubleshooting for critical network incidents and service disruptions.
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement permanent fixes for recurring issues.
- Ensure network availability, performance, and security across all locations.
- Monitor network infrastructure using network monitoring tools and coordinate incident resolution.
Network Architecture & Design
- Design and implement scalable, secure, and highly available network architectures.
- Lead network transformation initiatives including SD-WAN, cloud connectivity, and network modernization projects.
- Review and optimize network topology, routing, switching, security, and redundancy mechanisms.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend architecture improvements.
- Prepare High-Level Design (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD) documents.
Team Management
- Lead and mentor L1/L2 network engineers.
- Allocate workloads, monitor performance, and provide technical guidance.
- Conduct knowledge-sharing sessions and technical training programs.
- Ensure adherence to operational procedures, SLAs, and governance standards.
Security & Compliance
- Manage firewall, VPN, NAC, and network security controls.
- Support audits, vulnerability remediation, and compliance requirements.
- Ensure adherence to organizational security policies and standards.
- Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to implement security best practices.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain network diagrams, architecture documents, SOPs, and operational runbooks.
- Generate management reports on network availability, utilization, incidents, and performance.
- Present project updates and operational metrics to leadership teams.

Experience
- 10+ years of experience in Enterprise Network Administration and Operations.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience leading a network support team.
- Experience handling multi-location enterprise networks and managing ISP/vendor relationships.
