About the Role
CAI Software is seeking a Senior Network Engineer based in Brazil to join our global IT Infrastructure team.
This role requires a highly skilled network professional with deep expertise in CheckPoint and Palo Alto technologies and enterprise network architecture, as well as strong understanding of modern cloud networking and automation practices.
You will work collaboratively with a distributed, international team responsible for maintaining, improving, and securing the company’s global network infrastructure.
The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and capable of owning their responsibilities from design through execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure with a focus on Palo Alto systems and architecture.
- Manage routing, switching, VPNs, and network segmentation across global offices and cloud environments.
- Ensure high availability, scalability, and security of network operations.
- Collaborate with global IT and Security teams to maintain compliance and best practices.
- Support integration and interconnectivity between on-premises and cloud environments (Azure and/or AWS).
- Manage and maintain firewalls, primarily Palo Alto, and Checkpoint systems.
- Monitor and troubleshoot network performance, latency, and connectivity issues.
- Document network architecture, configurations, and operational procedures.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and automation efforts in networking and infrastructure.
- Ensure network design and operations align with compliance frameworks such as SOC 2 Type 2 and ISO 27001.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Experience: Minimum 5+ years in enterprise networking, with a focus on architecture and operations.
Technical Expertise:
- Advanced knowledge of Palo Alto technologies (routing, switching, VPN, VLANs, BGP, OSPF, etc.).
- Strong understanding of network design principles and enterprise-level architecture.
- Experience with Checkpoint, Palo Alto, and firewall management.
- Familiarity with Azure Networking, AWS VPCs, site-to-site VPNs, and hybrid cloud connectivity.
- Understanding of virtualization, VMs, and Infrastructure as Code concepts.
- Experience with network monitoring, automation, and scripting tools is a plus.
- Awareness of security standards and compliance frameworks (SOC 2, ISO 27001).
