Designation - Network & Support Engineer / Sr Network and Support Engineer
Location - Bangalore
Experience - 2-5 years
Salary range - 5 to 6.5 LPA
Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Network & Support Engineer to manage and enhance our IT and security infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining reliable computer networks and system environments, while also supporting enterprise security solutions such as CCTV and access control systems. This role includes providing Level 2/3 technical support and ensuring optimal system performance, security, and uptime across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable computer networks (LAN/WAN/Wi-Fi/VPN).
Monitor and optimize network performance; identify and resolve bottlenecks.
Use network monitoring tools to track performance, identify issues, and tune system behavior.
Provide Level 2/3 support and advanced troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
Configure, maintain, and manage routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
Administer Microsoft 365 services including user accounts, Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
Manage Windows/Linux servers, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policies.
Maintain and update technical documentation on network architecture, changes, and configurations.
Ensure system and network security through proper access controls, firewalls, and patch management.
Support and maintain CCTV surveillance systems, including camera setup, NVR/DVR management, and remote monitoring.
Install, configure, and troubleshoot Access Control Systems, including biometric readers, card readers, and associated software.
Coordinate with vendors and contractors for procurement, setup, and maintenance of IT and security systems.
Assist with IT infrastructure upgrades, cloud integrations, and backup/recovery strategies.
Ensure compliance with IT policies, procedures, and security standards.
Experience supporting and maintaining CCTV systems and electronic access control solutions.
Strong troubleshooting skills for both IT and physical security systems.
Familiarity with configuration and maintenance of routers, switches, firewalls, and Wi-Fi solutions.
Solid analytical and documentation skills; ability to track and maintain infrastructure changes.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certifications such as CompTIA Network+, CCNA, MCSA, or Microsoft Certified
Mandatory Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
2–5 years of experience in a system/network support role.
Strong understanding of network architecture, protocols (TCP/IP, UDP), and the OSI model.
Proficiency in Microsoft 365 administration and Active Directory
management.
Hands-on experience with network diagnostics, monitoring, and analytics tools (e.g., Wireshark, SolarWinds, PRTG).
