Role Description The Senior Network Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Ahmedabad, responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure and scalable network infrastructure to support enterprise IT and digital transformation initiatives. Day-to-day responsibilities include configuring and managing routers, switches, firewalls, and other network devices; monitoring network performance; proactively identifying and resolving issues; and ensuring high availability and reliability of services. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to support data center, cloud, and application environments, implementing network security best practices, and participating in capacity planning and architecture reviews. The Senior Network Engineer will document network configurations and procedures, lead root cause analysis for incidents, mentor junior team members, and contribute to continuous improvement of network standards and processes.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Network Engineering and Network Design, with experience in architecting, deploying, and optimizing complex enterprise networks.
- Hands-on expertise in Network Administration and Troubleshooting, including configuration, monitoring, diagnostics, and performance tuning.
- Proficiency in Network Security, covering firewalls, VPNs, intrusion detection/prevention, segmentation, and secure network architectures.
- Experience with data center and cloud networking (e.g., VLANs, load balancers, SD-WAN, hybrid cloud connectivity) is highly beneficial.
- Solid understanding of TCP/IP, routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP), switching technologies, and high-availability configurations.
- Relevant certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, JNCIP, or equivalent professional-level credentials are preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Ability to work on-site in Ahmedabad, collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, and mentor junior engineers.
